2 <br /> WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a public workshop on March 16, 2010 to discuss and <br /> consider potential amendments to the Zoning Code related to re-use of existing building <br /> spaces; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 4, 2010 to consider public <br /> testimony and make a recommendation concerning zoning regulations for re-use of existing <br /> building spaces; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Planning Commission finds: <br /> 1. The proposed amendment is consistent with the applicable provisions of the Everett <br /> Growth Management Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> 2. The proposed amendment bears a substantial relation to the public health, safety and <br /> welfare; and <br /> B. The proposed amendment promotes the best long term interests of the Everett <br /> community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommends that EMC <br /> Section 19.22 be amended as proposed in the attached Exhibit A. <br /> 1-.
