In addition, other equipment
acquisitions shall serve to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of certain activities
associated with the missions of the Digital Forensic Unit, Special Investigations Unit and
Operations Division. Insufficient resources are currently available from the City of Everett
budget to fund the requested equipment and technology systems that have been described.
Utilization of available Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant funds allocated for the
City of Everett to purchase this equipment would enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of
our patrol officers and detectives and result in a significant positive impact in the area of officer
and citizen safety when critical incidents may occur.
105
