EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> FOR <br /> WATER TRANSMISSION LINE 3 —PHASE 7 <br /> REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> The City's objective for this project is to replace Water Transmission Line 3 (Phase 7) located on <br /> the eastern half of Ebey Island(immediately east of the recently Phase 6 project) as described in <br /> the City's capital improvement program. _The initial Phase 7 project was originally designed by <br /> MWH in 2005, but was not constructed at that time. The current Phase 7 design work is <br /> intended to review and update the previous civil design based on additional surveyed locations of <br /> existing pile bents, incorporate previous design addenda, update the structural design to meet the <br /> newly adopted IBC requirements, and provide permit assistance to the City to acquire updated <br /> permits. The work also includes provision for MWH to provide construction management <br /> services as a future task in this contract if authorized by Supplemental Agreement. The City <br /> reserves the right to amend this contract to include subsequent phases of the "Replacement of <br /> Water Transmission Lines 2 and 3 Project"if it so chooses. <br /> Phase 7 involves the replacement of approximately 3,812 ft of 48-inch diameter pile supported <br /> pipe for Transmission Line 3 extending from the east side of Home Acres Road (approximately <br /> Station 743+84) to a point on the west side of Ebey Slough(approximately Station 705+72). <br /> Additional services, as directed by the City, and services to be provided by the City are also <br /> identified. <br /> The following scope of work describes the activities to be completed by MWH America's Inc. <br /> (hereinafter referred to as"Engineer") and its subconsultants. <br /> Task 1. Project Management <br /> Manage the entire project scope of work for Tasks 1 through 8 through design and bidding for a <br /> period of eight (8) months, including monitoring the schedule and budget, making staff <br /> assignments to maintain the project schedule, and general management and coordination of <br /> project staff as described below. <br /> 1. Prepare and submit a Project Execution Plan.
