;1:5 ""ki <br /> EYE?ETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 344/ <br /> A RESOLUTION declaring an emergency to exist and <br /> authorizing- the Building Official to secure the building <br /> located at 5201 South 2nd Avenue. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the building which is located at <br /> 5201 South 2nd Avenue currently exists with the following conditions: <br /> - the building is open to the public and an attractive nuisance. <br /> - the building has been vandalized. <br /> - there is interior stairway and glass damage that pose a threat to <br /> safety; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the condition of the building <br /> was brought to the City's attention and that a certified letter was sent to <br /> the owner of the structure, Mr. Frank Kendricks on the 23rd of January, 1991; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owner received the letter <br /> and has neither secured nor repaired the building, nor contacted the Building <br /> Official; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is imperative that immediate <br /> action be taken to secure and that normal abatement proceedings would take too <br /> long to implement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the owner of the building has <br /> been given notice of this Council meeting; and <br /> -1- <br /> (61) <br />
