EVERETT CITY COUNCIL PRELIMINARY AGENDA <br /> 6:30 P.M., WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2010 <br /> CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br /> Roll Call <br /> Pledge of Allegiance <br /> Approval of Minutes: October 13, 2010 <br /> Mayor's Comments — Swearing in of Everett Police Officers John Anderson <br /> Michael Keith and Oleg Kravchun <br /> Council Comments <br /> City Attorney <br /> Citizen Comments <br /> COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: (These items come before the City Council serving as a Council <br /> Committee of the Whole and are likely to be scheduled at a future meeting). <br /> (1) Transit Briefing <br /> (2) CB 1010-27 -1St Reading —Adopt the Proposed Ordinance levying the general taxes for the <br /> City of Everett for fiscal year commencing January 1, 2011, on all taxable property, both <br /> real and personal, subject to taxation thereon, for the purpose of raising a portion of the <br /> revenue to carry on City operations for the ensuing year, as required by the Charter of the <br /> City of Everett and the laws of the State of Washington (3rd and final reading and public <br /> hearing on 11-3-10) <br /> (3) Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 2 to Professional Services Agreement with <br /> MacLeod Reckord to provide added general engineering and management consulting and <br /> design services for the Riverfront Development project entitled "Public Amenities and <br /> Wetland Enhancements" <br /> (4) Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with the University of <br /> Washington which shall not exceed a maximum of $15,000 <br /> PROPOSED ACTION AGENDA: (These items currently scheduled for action on a future Everett <br /> City Council meeting). <br /> (5) Concur with Mayors reappointment of James Driscoll as the land use and code enforcement <br /> hearing examiner for one, four-year term, and authorize the Mayor to execute a Personal <br /> Services contract with Mr. Driscoll as the land use and code enforcement hearing examiner <br /> in the amount of $5,000 per month for four years <br /> (6) Authorize the Mayor to sign the Local Agency Standard Consultant Agreement with KPFF <br /> Consulting Engineers for design services related to the Henry M.
