Jackson Park master planning process has included extensive dialogue of possible <br /> park amenities and their layouts through steering committee discussions, Delta and Riverside neighborhood <br /> meetings and public forums,the development of three alternative draft master plans for public and Board <br /> Park of Commissioners review, development of life cycle cost modeling to assist with selection of long term, <br /> cost-effective construction materials, and the development of a Preliminary Master Plan which will be <br /> presented for review and comment at public forums in November and December 2010. <br /> Additional time has been devoted to conduct an extensive, multilingual public outreach program. The <br /> purpose of this outreach was to gather additional perspectives regarding recreational amenities from the <br /> diverse neighborhood population around Senator Jackson Park. Remaining master plan tasks include <br /> development of a proposed Final Master Plan, presentation of the proposed Final Master Plan to citizens and <br /> to the Board of Park Commissioners, and then to City Council for adoption. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment One to the Professional Services Agreement with MacLeod <br /> Reckord for Master Plan Development of Senator Henry M.
