The trial program was determined to be a viable trial in terms of community leadership and volunteer commitment in the landscape areas of the park. Amendment One to the Memorandum of Understanding with the Lowell Civic Association adds a second one-year term to continue the work effort and ultimately allow both parties to conduct an end of trial program evaluation. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment One to the Memorandum of Understanding with the Lowell Civic Association for the Pesticide-Free Trial Program at Lowell Park. 161
