3 <br /> Exhibit A <br /> Scope of Work <br /> Engineering Services <br /> City of Everett <br /> Water Main Replacement "K" <br /> Lowell Area <br /> UP No. 3443 <br /> Roth Hill, LLC <br /> I. Project Description and Purpose <br /> The City plans to replace and abandon in-place existing cast iron pipe within the Lowell service <br /> area. The Lowell area is generally bounded by 41st Street to the North, Ravenna Street to the <br /> South, South 4th Avenue to the West, and South 2nd Avenue to the East. The new mains are <br /> expected to consist of approximately 9,000 lineal feet of 8-inch and 12-inch diameter ductile iron <br /> water main (sizes to be confirmed during design). A large portion of the cast iron mains being <br /> replaced by this project were constructed in the 1920's and are beyond their service life. The <br /> work in this area will also include installation of a new PRV station in a concrete vault, valves, <br /> fire hydrants, water service lines (from mains to the shut off at the meter boxes), new water <br /> meter boxes and setters, related appurtenances and surface restoration. <br /> II. Scope of Work & Tasks <br /> Roth Hill will provide the consulting engineering & survey services necessary to design the <br /> proposed water main, and provide support with permitting and construction. The specific <br /> elements of Roth Hill's Scope of Work are itemized and presented in the following tasks: <br /> A. Project Management <br /> 1. Manage and coordinate with subconsultants, ensuring delivery timetables are <br /> met. <br /> 2. Manage internal staff to meet project goals, budget, and delivery timetables. <br /> 3. Develop and maintain project design schedule in Microsoft Project, with tasks <br /> and milestones clearly identified. <br /> 4. Provide monthly earned value analysis. <br /> 5. Manage communications to keep City's project manager up-to-date on project <br /> status. Provide monthly status update memos. Provide weekly budget update <br /> and brief status report. <br /> 6. Attend project kick-off meeting <br /> 7. Attend and present at one neighborhood meeting <br /> 28 <br />
