experience severe to very severe erosion hazard. This group of soils includes the <br />following when they occur on slopes of fifteen percent or greater: Alderwood gravelly <br />sand loam (AgD), Alderwood-Kitsap (AKF), and Whidbey formation. <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Erosion hazard areas" means those areas of the city with slopes of 25% and greater in <br />Qva and Qal geologic units; exposed slopes of greater than 25% in other geologic units; <br />and drainage areas which receive storm water discharge. <br />Section 39: Definition. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1847-92, as amended, (EMC 19.4.020), <br />definition of "Fish and wildlife conservation areas," which currently reads as follows: <br />"Fish and wildlife conservation areas" means an area of habitat that is necessary and <br />suitable for maintaining individual species, species diversity, or biological diversity. Fish <br />and wildlife conservation areas include: <br />1. Habitats. of primary association; <br />2. Riparian corridors; <br />3. Continuous vegetative corridors linking watersheds; and <br />4. Significant biological areas listed by the city. <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Fish and wildlife habitat conservation areas" means an area of habitat that is necessary <br />and suitable for maintaining individual species, species diversity, or biological diversity. <br />Fish and wildlife habitat conservation areas include: <br />1. Habitats of primary association; <br />2. Streams / Riparian corridors; <br />3. Continuous vegetative corridors linking watersheds; and <br />4. Significant biological areas listed by the city. <br />5. Lakes and ponds less than 20 acres. <br />Section 40: Definition. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 1847-92, as amended, (EMC 19.4.020), <br />definition of "Functions and values," which currently reads as follows: <br />"Functions and values," or "functional values" means the beneficial roles served by <br />environmentally sensitive areas including but not limited to, water quality protection and <br />enhancement, fish and wildlife habitat, food chain support, flood storage, conveyance and <br />attenuation, ground water recharge and discharge, erosion control, wave attenuation, <br />recreation, aesthetics, and slope and soil stabilization. <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Functions and values," or "functional values" means the beneficial roles served by <br />critical areas including but not limited to, water quality protection and enhancement, fish <br />and wildlife habitat, food chain support, flood storage, conveyance and attenuation, <br />62 <br />
