Oversight The development of training programs should be overseen by the present Task Force subcommittee on Parking, Model Programs, and Training, which will continue functioning, as needed, beyond March 1992. The State will also continue to provide technical assistance. Course Development Responsibility The intent of the CTR Task Force is to have the state technical assistance team work with the available resources of local transit agencies, local governments and, if necessary, hire a consultant to create the training curriculum. Everett, in conjunction with CT, may supplement the decision-maker orientation, the basic training course, and the specialized training courses with any additions needed to create a complete package to meet state and local requirements. Training for ETCs will be customized for Everett and Snohomish County needs. Local instructor and program reviewer training should be coordinated with the state technical assistance team to ensure these training programs are complete and tailored to local conditions. Training Development Schedule The schedule for developing training courses is estimated as follows, and may be subject to change. March 1993 • Master Trainers (one per county) April - May 1993 • Local Instructors (Instruction by master trainers) • Employee Transportation Coordinators (Instruction by local instructors) • Program Reviewers (Instruction by local instructors) May 1993 - and beyond • Training as needed The Task Force recognizes the need to support training over and above what is possible with existing funding, and will pursue additional funding sources.
