• <br /> E. "Fire Department" means City of Everett Fire Department. <br /> F. "Uniform Building Code" or "UBC" means the current edition of the <br /> Uniform Building Code and Uniform Building Code Standards published by the <br /> International Conference of Building Officials as adopted by the State Building Code <br /> Council in accordance with Chapter 19.27 RCW and as amended by the City of Everett. <br /> It is also referred to in this ordinance as the "UBC" . <br /> G. "Uniform Fire Code or "UFC" means the current edition of the Uniform <br /> Fire Code and the Uniform Fire Code Standards published by the International <br /> Conference of Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs Association adopted by <br /> the State Building Code Council in accordance with Chapter 19.27 RCW and as amended <br /> by the City of Everett. It is also referred to in this ordinance as the "UFC" . <br /> Section 3: Application. <br /> A. An approved automatic fire detection system is required and shall be <br /> installed and maintained in an operable condition as specified in this ordinance in <br /> the following locations: <br /> 1. Group A Occupancies as defined by the UBC when the occupancy has more <br /> than 3,000 square feet of gross floor area; <br /> 2. Group B Occupancies as defined by the UBC when the occupancy has more <br /> than 3,000 square feet of gross floor area; <br /> 3. Group E Occupancies as defined by the UBC when the occupancy has more <br /> than 3,000 square feet of gross floor area; <br /> 4. Group R Occupancies as defined by the UBC when the occupancy has more <br /> than 3,000 square feet of gross floor area; <br /> Exception: Group R-3, Single Family Residence <br /> 5. Group H Occupancies as defined by the UBC; and <br /> 3 <br />
