An Agreement for Service was entered into with Equifax,
effective August 8, 2003. There was no termination date specified in the August 2003 agreement; however,
it will be superseded and replaced in its entirety by this new Agreement for Service, which is required
because the methodology of requesting and receiving the information has changed to online only. Equifax
requires that the City enter into this new Agreement for Service in order to participate in the providing of
information online. Exhibit "B" to this Agreement specifies the services that will be utilized by the Police
Department. Exhibit "C" to this Agreement provides that the price for a service will be Equifax's standard
price for that service in Equifax-owned territory and the standard price for a credit bureau affiliated with
Equifax for that service in a territory owned by the affiliated credit bureau.
RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council):
Authorize the Mayor to sign an Agreement for Service with Equifax Information Services LLC.
91
