Distribute new releases about <br /> tourism activities to media contact lists of identified audiences. Respond in a timely manner <br /> to media requests for information. <br /> 2. Maintain membership in Public Relations Society of America and attend local <br /> educational seminars. <br /> 3. Media Newsletter. Publish and distribute six issues of an electronic media newsletter to <br /> mailing list of travel writers. If city web design allows, establish an opt-in feature on tourism <br /> website <br /> 4. Utilize online media databases and electronic communications software programs. <br /> Maintain a press clipping file and advertising cost equivalent on all media coverage received. <br /> 5. Press tours. Initiate, coordinate, and participate in tours for media writers highlighting <br /> Everett's tourism communities, attractions and tourism suppliers. Tours can be created for <br /> small groups of writers or individuals. <br /> 6. Participate in state tourism or regional media sales missions—potentially Los Angeles <br /> and Vancouver, BC <br /> 7. Attend Travel Media Showcase and attend annual convention for travel writer <br /> appointments to generate more media coverage on Everett's attractions and tourism <br /> suppliers. <br /> 8.
