Description of Public Service Programs Recommended for <br /> Community Development Block Grant Funding in 2011 1 <br /> 1. Advocates for the Rights of Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (ARC) <br /> Specialized Housing Program <br /> CDBG funds will be used to pay for staffing for this program. The program will provide help for <br /> people with developmental disabilities in three areas: 1) Location and retention of affordable <br /> housing; 2) Education and training and, 3) Alternative living support. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding $10,500.00 <br /> 2. Assistance League of Everett—Operation School Bell <br /> The goal of this program is to ensure that homeless children and children living in poverty have <br /> adequate school clothing and hygiene supplies. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding $12,500.00 <br /> 3. Pilchuck Area Council of Camp Fire, Inc. - Camp ships <br /> The funds will provide financial assistance to low income children to attend Camp Killoqua in the <br /> summer of 2011. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding $3,525.00 <br /> 4. Little Red School House— Early Intervention <br /> This program provides early intervention services to infants and toddlers who are at risk of <br /> becoming developmentally delayed and of not being successful at school. Risk factors include <br /> homelessness, poverty, cultural isolation, and abuse and neglect. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Fund: $10,000.00 <br /> 5. Everett Family YMCA - Child Care for Low Income Parents <br /> CDBG funds will be used for the YMCA's child care program to meet the growing need for infant care <br /> for low-income families. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding $5,000.00 <br /> 6. Mercy Housing Northwest <br /> Mercy Housing Northwest provides affordable rental housing and on-site supportive to low-income <br /> and homeless and homeless families at Family Tree Apartments, a 150 unit community in south <br /> Everett. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding $8,000.00 <br /> 7. Imagine Children's Museum —Imaginate Program <br /> 9 <br />
