] The Children's Museum will provide a summer enrichment program for low-income Hispanic/Latino <br /> children. The program will help the children develop skills to overcome the enormous challenges <br /> they face, which are largely a result of their language barriers and economic status. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding $10,000.00 <br /> 8. Community Health Center of Snohomish County <br /> The Community Health Center is a non-profit clinic providing on-site medical and dental care to low <br /> income people who do not have the health insurance or other resources to pay for health care <br /> through private physicians. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding $18,670.63 <br /> 9. Deaconess Children's Services <br /> IMPACT: Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention <br /> IMPACT is an intensive child abuse prevention program which offers outpatient services to high risk <br /> parents, infants, and toddlers in hopes of breaking the cycles of abuse and neglect that are passed <br /> on down from one generation to another. Services provided include structured parenting education <br /> and support groups, outreach, case management and a therapeutic nursery. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding $12,000.00 <br /> 10. Housing Hope—College of Hope <br /> CDBG funds will be used for the provision of life skills and employment training for homeless and at- <br /> risk households. The College of Hope program has been developed through a four-agency <br /> partnership designed to help homeless families secure compensation in key areas essential to self- <br /> sufficiency. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding . $5,000.00 <br /> 11. Volunteers of America — Life Skills Education Program <br /> This public service delivers a multi-faceted adult-based learning curriculum that focuses on the <br /> development of personal skills and competencies that support self-sufficiency for homeless and low- <br /> income individuals in the city of Everett. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding $5,000.00 <br /> 12. Volunteers of America - Rental Housing Mediation Service <br /> This project provides neutral rental housing mediation to both owners and tenants of low income <br /> rental properties. <br /> Recommended 2011 CDBG Funding10 $5,000.00 <br />
