7 <br /> Exhibit A—Description of Changed Work <br /> Change Order#2 <br /> Create New"Bid Item#8–entitled,"Change Order No. 2", in the lump sum amount of$2,278.00, <br /> which shall incorporate Work Change Directive 16 per the following: <br /> Work Change Directive WCD-16"' Install a 5' x 5'x 8" concrete pad with one mat of#4 reinforcing on <br /> 12" centers for the engine generator propane tank. Install a buried 1" schedule 40 black steel pipe <br /> between the propane tank pad and the engine generator. Extend the 1"schedule 40 steel pipe 3' <br /> above the top of the propane tank pad at 24" out from the center of the pad.The top of the pipe <br /> shall be threaded to receive the attachments that Suburban Propane will provide. Install three pipe <br /> bollards similar to those installed at the FEN Pump Station. Delete the tanks and the shed you were <br /> previously asked to provide. <br /> Increase the Contract Amount by$2,278.00. <br /> Project Suspended: The project was suspended to allow painting work to be done in better weather <br /> conditions. <br /> JUSTIFICATION: <br /> Work Change Directive WCD-16"'Due to the size of the propane tanks needed to operate the engine <br /> generator the tanks by code had to be placed on a separate pad 10 feet away from the engine <br /> generator. <br /> Project Suspended: Since all essential new work provided under this contract was available for the <br /> City of Everett to use the Project time was suspended to allow painting of outdoor items to be done <br /> in better weather conditions. Eventually the Contractor opted, at their expense,to use a superior <br /> paint that could be applied in harsher weather conditions so the Project could be completed. <br /> 36 <br />
