3 <br /> To ensure that signage is part of the overall design of a project and not additive or an <br /> afterthought. <br /> Guidelines: <br /> • Sign category"C" applies except for the following guidelines. <br /> • The design of buildings and site plans shall identify locations and sizes for future <br /> signs. <br /> • An overall sign program for the hospital shall be established and approved by the <br /> Planning Director. The sign program shall indicate location, size and general <br /> design. <br /> • Signs shall not project above the roof, parapet, or exterior wall. <br /> • Signs shall be oriented to pedestrians. <br /> • No flashing, blinking or electric message signs. <br /> • One sign per street, other than directional signs. Directional signs include <br /> building signs to identify the building. <br /> • Signs should be designed so they are illuminated in a way to be seen clearly but <br /> do not produce glare off site into residential areas. <br /> Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 13. Integration of signs with architecture <br /> Intent: <br /> To ensure that signage is part of the overall design of a project and not additive or an <br /> afterthought. <br /> Guidelines: <br /> • Sign category"C" applies except for the logo wall signs described below. the <br /> • The design of buildings and site plans shall identify locations and sizes for future <br /> signs. <br /> • An overall sign program for the hospital shall be established and approved by the <br /> Planning Director.
