I ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE relating to Animal Services, Amending Ordinance No. 1810-91, as amended (EMC 6.04). WHEREAS, the Animal Services Division oversees, manages, and maintains the Everett animal shelter; and. WHEREAS, the Animal Services Division charges fees for the use of the Everett animal shelter and its services; and WHEREAS, such fees are subject to change from time to time by ordinance; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Animal Services Division should be authorized to establish and adjust such fees administratively to promote cost effective shelter operations, and the health and welfare of the animals under its care; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. The definition of"manager" and "animal control" in Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1810-91 as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2394-99, and Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2684-03 (EMC 16.08.020), which reads as follows: "Animal control" means the city of Everett animal shelter. "Manager" means the manager/director of the city's animal shelter. Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "Animal control" means the Animal Services Division of the C-eity of Everett, which includes the Everett animal shelter. "Manager" means the manager of the Animal Services Division or designeemanager/director of the city's animal shelter. Section 2. Subsection A of Section 9 of Ordinance No. 1810-91, as amended by Section 7 of Ordinance No. 2394-99, as amended by Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2684-03 (EMC 6.04.090.A), which reads as follows: A. The manager shall operate, maintain or provide an adequate facility to receive and care for any animal delivered to his/her custody for disposition under provisions of this chapter, which facility shall be accessible to the public during 2 1
