I <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE relating to Animal Services, Amending Ordinance No. 1810-91, <br /> as amended (EMC 6.04). <br /> WHEREAS, the Animal Services Division oversees, manages, and <br /> maintains the Everett animal shelter; and. <br /> WHEREAS, the Animal Services Division charges fees for the use of the <br /> Everett animal shelter and its services; and <br /> WHEREAS, such fees are subject to change from time to time by <br /> ordinance; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Animal Services Division <br /> should be authorized to establish and adjust such fees administratively to <br /> promote cost effective shelter operations, and the health and welfare of the <br /> animals under its care; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1. The definition of"manager" and "animal control" in Section 2 of <br /> Ordinance No. 1810-91 as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2394-99, and <br /> Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2684-03 (EMC 16.08.020), which reads as follows: <br /> "Animal control" means the city of Everett animal shelter. <br /> "Manager" means the manager/director of the city's animal shelter. <br /> Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Animal control" means the Animal Services Division of the C-eity of Everett, <br /> which includes the Everett animal shelter. <br /> "Manager" means the manager of the Animal Services Division or <br /> designeemanager/director of the city's animal shelter. <br /> Section 2. Subsection A of Section 9 of Ordinance No. 1810-91, as amended by <br /> Section 7 of Ordinance No. 2394-99, as amended by Section 3 of Ordinance No. <br /> 2684-03 (EMC 6.04.090.A), which reads as follows: <br /> A. The manager shall operate, maintain or provide an adequate facility to <br /> receive and care for any animal delivered to his/her custody for disposition under <br /> provisions of this chapter, which facility shall be accessible to the public during <br /> 2 <br /> 1 <br />
