April 12, 2017 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., April 12, 2017, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, <br /> it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. <br /> Council Member Stonec,pher led the Pledge ofAllegiance <br /> The minutes of the April 5, 2017, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Members Bader and Stonecipher abstained from the vote. <br /> President Tuohy announced that agenda item number 11 had been pulled <br /> from the agenda. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson announced that today the City received its 22nd Tree <br /> City USA designation from the National Arbor Day Foundation, and <br /> thanked students from Whittier Elementary School for planting the trees. <br /> OATH — POLICE OFFICERS <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Franklin, to concur with the appointments of Jason Tutchtone and <br /> Karen Campbell as new police officers. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk administered the oaths of office, and Mayor <br /> Stephanson presented the officers with badges. <br /> 114 <br />
