• <br /> EVERETT COMMUNITY THEATER <br /> r Presenter (part time renter) <br /> r 513!Seats <br /> • 150.perforna:nce days per year <br /> Owner: City of Everett <br /> Owner's Administrator: Finance Director or designee <br /> Operator: Everett will manage the theater by contract with a management organization <br /> The contract will be reviewed annually until management is well established and <br /> operating with a high degree of confidence. Measurable performance standards <br /> will be negotiated in the contract. The management organization will be a <br /> Private Non-Profit, with an Executive Director and 5 member Board of <br /> Directors. Initially, by contract, the board members will be appointed by the <br /> Mayor, and confirmed by City Council. Qualifications for appointment to the <br /> board include a solid background in management and/or business, or finance, or <br /> fund raising or marketing; a proven commitment to a wide range of performing <br /> arts; demonstrated ability to commit time to the theater to set policies for <br /> responsible and economic management; a history of service to the Everett <br /> community; and proven ability to work well in groups. <br /> The pool used for selection of the Board of Directors will be from arts and <br /> Cultural Commission members; Members of the Council of Neighborhoods; <br /> Business, at large; Downtown Business; Chamber of Commerce, ForEverett; <br /> Everett Community College; Snohomish County government. By contract, one <br /> City staff and one City elected official will sit as ex-officio on the Private Non- <br /> Profit Board of Directors. <br /> By contract, members of the board of directors of the Private Non-Profit <br /> organization, would be appointed to staggered terms (similar to the pattern <br /> outlined in the City Charter for Boards and Commissions). One for 6 years, 5 <br /> years, 4 years, 3 years, and 2 years. <br /> Once the Private Non-Profit management organization has been formed and the <br /> management contract is adopted, the City Finance Director will administer the <br /> contract. <br /> 1992 Budget: $36k (Management Contract) + $4k (desk, phone, computer, supplies <br /> and travel).
