• <br /> EYE/FETT <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1880-92 <br /> AN ORDINANCE providing for the adoption of the 1991 <br /> Edition of the Uniform Fire Code and the Uniform <br /> Fire Code Standards, and repealing Ordinance No. <br /> 1752-90. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> SECTION 1: This Ordinance shall be known as the "Everett Fire <br /> Code. " <br /> SECTION 2 : There is hereby established in the City of <br /> Everett, the Fire Department which shall be under the <br /> jurisdiction of the Fire Chief, designated by the Mayor. <br /> SECTION 3 : The Uniform Fire code (hereinafter referred to as <br /> "UFC") , including Appendix Chapters I-A, I-B, I-C, II-B, II-C, <br /> II-E, II-F, III-A, III-B, III-C, IV-B, V-A, VI-A, VI-B, VI-D, VI- <br /> E, and the Uniform Fire Code Standards (hereinafter referred to <br /> as "UFCS") , published by the Western Fire Chiefs Association and <br /> the International Conference of Building Officials, being <br /> particularly the 1991 Editions as amended by Chapters 51-24 and <br /> 51-25 WAC thereof and the whole thereof, save and except such <br /> portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended are <br /> hereby adopted by reference and incorporated herein as fully as <br /> if set out at length herein. <br /> SECTION 4 : Section 2 . 303 of the 1991 Edition of the UFC is <br /> hereby amended by deleting: <br /> To determine the suitability of alternate materials and <br /> type of construction and to provide for reasonable <br /> interpretations of the provisions of this Code, there <br /> shall be and hereby is created a Board of Appeals <br /> consisting of five members who are qualified by <br /> experience and training to pass upon pertinent matters. <br /> The chief shall be an ex-officio member and shall act <br /> as secretary of the board. The board of appeals shall <br /> be appointed by the executive body and shall hold <br /> office at their pleasure.
