reasonable interpretations of this code, and to hear <br /> appeals from written orders issued by the City's Fire <br /> Marshal, the board of appeals created pursuant to <br /> Ordinance No. 351-75 shall hear these matters. Appeals <br /> from written orders of the fire marshal must be filed <br /> within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of <br /> receipt of the written order by the aggrieved party. <br /> The aggrieved party shall cause to be made at his own <br /> expense, any tests or research required to substantiate <br /> his claim. <br /> SECTION 5: Article 10 of the 1991 Edition of the UFC is <br /> amended by the addition of the following sections: <br /> Section 10.202 . Plans for fire apparatus access roads <br /> shall be submitted to the fire department for review <br /> and approval prior to construction. <br /> Section 10.203. Fire apparatus roads shall be provided <br /> for every facility, building or portions of a building <br /> hereafter constructed or moved into or within the <br /> jurisdiction when any portion of the facility or any <br /> portion of an exterior wall of the first story of the <br /> building is located more than 150 feet from fire <br /> apparatus access as measured by an approved route <br /> around the exterior of the building or facility. <br /> EXCEPTIONS: 1. When buildings are completely <br /> protected with an approved automatic fire <br /> sprinkler system, the provisions of this <br /> section may be modified by the chief. <br /> 2 . When access roads cannot be installed <br /> due to topography, waterways, nonnegotiable <br /> grades or other similar conditions, the chief <br /> is authorized to require additional fire <br /> protection as specified in Section 10. 501 (b) . <br /> 3 . When there are not more than two Group <br /> R, Division 3 , or Group M Occupancies, the <br /> requirements of this section may be modified, <br /> provided, in the opinion of the chief, fire <br /> fighting or rescue operations would not be <br /> impaired. <br /> More than one fire apparatus road shall be provided <br /> when it is determined by the chief that access by a <br /> single road may be impaired by vehicle congestion, <br /> condition of terrain, climatic conditions or other <br /> factors that could limit access. <br /> 2 <br />
