SECTION 9 : The 1991 Edition of the UFC is amended by the <br /> addition of the following section: <br /> Authority to Abate <br /> 1. Any violation of the UFC is hereby declared to be <br /> a nuisance. <br /> 2 . Where a nuisance exists, the City Attorney on <br /> behalf of the City is authorized to institute <br /> injunction, mandamus, or other appropriate action or <br /> proceeding to prevent the violation of the UFC. <br /> 3 . Notwithstanding paragraph (2) , the City Attorney <br /> is authorized to apply to any court of competent <br /> jurisdiction for and such court, upon hearing and for <br /> cause shown, may grant a temporary or permanent <br /> injunction restraining any person, firm and/or <br /> corporation from violating any provisions of the UFC. <br /> 4 A conviction of any person, firm or corporation <br /> for violating the UFC shall not impede the authority <br /> granted in this section to the City Attorney or City. <br /> Section 10 : The 1991 Edition of the UFC is amended by the <br /> addition of the following: <br /> Fire Marshall Order <br /> 1. The Fire Chief or his designee hereby has the <br /> authority to order dangerous structures, buildings, <br /> places, conditions, or materials to be removed, <br /> corrected, vacated or demolished in such manner as <br /> shall be set forth in an order, which shall be in <br /> substantially the following form: <br /> FIRE MARSHAL ORDER <br /> City of Everett <br /> To: <br /> (Name of party to whom order is issued and description <br /> of premises or places by street address. ) <br /> You, and each of you, are hereby notified by the <br /> undersigned Fire Marshal that an inspection of the <br /> premises or place above-described was made on the <br /> day of , 199 at which time there <br /> 6 <br />
