3. Displays. Permits are required to conduct a <br /> fireworks display. See Section 4 . 108 . Permit <br /> applications shall be made not less than 14 days prior <br /> to the scheduled date of the display. The permit <br /> application shall include a diagram of the grounds on <br /> which the display is to be held showing the point at <br /> which the fireworks are to be discharged; the location <br /> of buildings, highways and other lines of <br /> communication; the lines behind which the audience will <br /> be restrained; and the location of nearby trees, <br /> telegraph or telephone lines and other overhead <br /> obstructions. At the time of permit application, the <br /> chief shall be consulted regarding requirements for <br /> standby fire apparatus. <br /> SECTION 7 : Appendix I-A, l. General, of the 1991 Edition of <br /> the UFC is hereby amended by deleting: <br /> (b) Effective Date. Within eighteen (18) months after <br /> the effective date of this appendix, plans for <br /> compliance shall be submitted and approved, and within <br /> eighteen (18) months thereafter the work shall be <br /> completed or the building shall be vacated until made <br /> to conform. <br /> and inserting in its place: <br /> (b) Effective Date. Within eighteen (18) months after <br /> notification by the Fire Chief to the owner or the <br /> occupant or tenant of the adoption of this appendix, <br /> plans for compliance shall be submitted and approved, <br /> and within three (3) years, or as approved by the Fire <br /> Chief, thereafter the work shall be completed or the <br /> building shall be vacated until made to conform <br /> SECTION 8 : The 1991 Edition of the UFC is amended by the <br /> addition of the following section: <br /> Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the <br /> provisions of this code, shall be deemed guilty of a <br /> misdemeanor, and each such person shall be deemed <br /> guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or <br /> portion thereof during which any violation of any of <br /> the provisions of this Code is committed, continued or <br /> permitted, and upon conviction of any such violation, <br /> such person shall be punishable by a fine of not more <br /> than one thousand dollars ($1, 000) or by imprisonment <br /> for not more than ninety (90) days or by both such fine <br /> and imprisonment. <br /> 5 <br />
