duly appointed Board members. The terms of the members and <br /> alternates shall be in accordance with Section 5. 2 of the City <br /> Charter. The current members of the Museum Advisory Board shall <br /> remain in office as the Museum Board for the balance of their <br /> existing terms subject to the provisions of this ordinance and <br /> Article V of the City Charter. <br /> SECTION 4 : Duties of the Museum Board. <br /> The responsibilities of the Museum Board shall include all <br /> responsibilities necessary to carry out the purpose of the Board <br /> as set forth in Section 2 , which duties shall include, but not <br /> limited to: <br /> A. Review and recommend short and long range planning for the <br /> museum; <br /> B. Review and recommend development of programs and services <br /> for the museum; <br /> C. Make recommendations concerning the general operation of the <br /> museum including policies and procedures; and <br /> D. Perform such additional duties as identified by the Mayor <br /> and Council. <br /> SECTION 5 : Gifts and Loans of Personal Property. <br /> Notwithstanding the provisions of Chapter 2 . 105, Everett <br /> Municipal Code, the Museum Director or his/her designee is <br /> authorized to accept or reject gifts and loans of personal <br /> property for museum purposes only on behalf of the City of <br /> Everett in accordance with the Museum's adopted gift and loan <br /> policy. Further, the Museum Director or his/her designee is <br /> authorized to accept donations to be placed in trust for museum <br /> purposes only on behalf of the City of Everett until such time as <br /> a foundation or other appropriate entity is established to accept <br /> such donations. <br /> SECTION 6: Severability. <br /> If any section, subsection, clause, sentence or phrase of this <br /> ordinance should be held invalid or unconstitutional, the <br /> invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity <br /> or constitutionality of any other section, subsection, clause, <br /> sentence or phrase. <br /> 2 <br />
