• t <br /> • <br /> EVERETT <br /> Ordinance No. 1864-92 <br /> An Ordinance of the City of Everett <br /> Making Certain Revisions to the Zoning Code and Amending <br /> Ordinance Nos. 1671-89, 1729-90 , 1847-92 , 1848-92 and 1849-92 . <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted Zoning Ordinance No. 1671-89 <br /> which became effective on January 13 , 1990; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance 1671-89 has been amended several times since its <br /> adoption; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommended that an annual review <br /> of the Zoning Code occur to keep the ordinance up-to-date; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City received numerous suggestions for various <br /> amendments to the zoning code for the 1991 annual Zoning Code <br /> review; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has conducted several public <br /> workshops and hearings on the proposed Zoning Code amendments and <br /> has recommended City Council approval of various proposed <br /> amendments; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council , on January 8 , 1992 , conducted a public <br /> hearing to consider the recommendations of the Planning Commission <br /> and remanded several items to the Planning Commission for further <br /> consideration; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, on March 3 , 1992, held a public <br /> hearing to consider the items remanded by the City Council and made <br /> recommendations concerning the remanded items; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed amendments to the <br /> Zoning Code bear a substantial relation to the public welfare and <br /> are in the best long term interests of the Everett Community. <br />
