• t • EVERETT Ordinance No. 1864-92 An Ordinance of the City of Everett Making Certain Revisions to the Zoning Code and Amending Ordinance Nos. 1671-89, 1729-90 , 1847-92 , 1848-92 and 1849-92 . WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted Zoning Ordinance No. 1671-89 which became effective on January 13 , 1990; and WHEREAS, Ordinance 1671-89 has been amended several times since its adoption; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommended that an annual review of the Zoning Code occur to keep the ordinance up-to-date; and WHEREAS, the City received numerous suggestions for various amendments to the zoning code for the 1991 annual Zoning Code review; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has conducted several public workshops and hearings on the proposed Zoning Code amendments and has recommended City Council approval of various proposed amendments; and WHEREAS, the City Council , on January 8 , 1992 , conducted a public hearing to consider the recommendations of the Planning Commission and remanded several items to the Planning Commission for further consideration; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, on March 3 , 1992, held a public hearing to consider the items remanded by the City Council and made recommendations concerning the remanded items; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed amendments to the Zoning Code bear a substantial relation to the public welfare and are in the best long term interests of the Everett Community.
