• <br /> • <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: Section 4 of Ordinance 1671-89 , as amended by Section 2 of <br /> Ordinance 1847-92 , is amended by the addition of the following: <br /> Solid waste transfer station means a solid waste handling <br /> facility operated or licensed by a public agency where solid <br /> waste is brought to be compacted or otherwise processed for <br /> ultimate transport in large containers to another approved site <br /> for disposal . A solid waste transfer station may include <br /> provisions for extraction of recyclable or reusable materials, as <br /> well as collection facilities for recyclable materials. <br /> Section 2: Section 15.020 of Ordinance 1671-89, which reads: <br /> Calculation of Permitted Density. In determining the density of <br /> a multiple-family development, the lot area is divided by the <br /> number of square feet this Ordinance requires per dwelling unit. <br /> When this computation results in a fraction, the number is <br /> rounded down to the next whole number. For lots which contain <br /> environmentally sensitive areas, see Subsection 37. 110 of this <br /> Ordinance for the method used to determine the permitted number <br /> of dwelling units. <br /> is hereby amended to read: <br /> Calculation of Permdtted Density. In determining the density of <br /> a multiple-family development, the lot area is divided by the <br /> number of square feet this Ordinance requires per dwelling unit. <br /> When this computation results in a fraction, the number is <br /> rounded down to the next whole number. For lots which contain <br /> environmentally sensitive areas, see Section 19. 37 of the Everett <br /> Municipal Code for the method used to determine the permitted <br /> number of dwelling units. The land area dedicated for public <br /> transit bus pullouts or passenger shelters shall be included in <br /> the area of the lot from which the land was dedicated for <br /> purposes of calculating permitted number of dwelling units in <br /> multiple family developments. <br /> Section 3: Section 15.080.B of Ordinance 1671-89, which reads: <br /> B. If private individual garages are provided, there shall be <br /> provided an additional one-half of a parking space for each <br /> parking space within a private garage. Such additional <br /> parking space shall be either completely uncovered or <br /> covered by a carport. <br />
