• <br /> Hazardous waste treatment means the physical, chemical or biological <br /> processing of hazardous waste for the purpose of rendering these <br /> wastes for material resource recovery, amenable for storage, or <br /> reduced in volume, as regulated by the State Dangerous Waste <br /> Regulations, Section 173-303 WAC. <br /> Hazardous waste treatment and storage facility, offsite means <br /> treatment and storage facilities which treat and store hazardous <br /> wastes generated on properties other than those on which the offsite <br /> facilities are located. <br /> Hazardous waste treatment and storage facility, onsite means <br /> treatment and storage facilities which treat and store hazardous <br /> wastes generated on the same property. <br /> Health clubs, athletic facilities means a building which is used for <br /> sports, health and recreational uses by the general public or by <br /> members not restricted to living within a specified area (as in a <br /> homeowner's association or multiple family development) , which <br /> normally operates for a profit. Such facilities include, but are not <br /> limited to, tennis or racquetball courts, swimming pools, weight <br /> training, exercise classes, health spas and other similar uses. <br /> Where such uses are also permitted outdoors in specific zones, the <br /> following uses are included: Tennis courts, golf-driving range, <br /> miniature golf courses, running tracks, and swimming pools. <br /> Hearing Examiner means the Land use Hearing Examiner for the City of <br /> Everett. <br /> Height, Building means the vertical distance from the base elevation <br /> of a building to the highest point of the roof, exclusive of building <br /> appurtenances. In the B-3 and R-5 zones, building height is measured <br /> as the height above the highest point of any public sidewalk <br /> immediately contiguous to the lot upon which the building is located, <br /> or height above the base elevation, whichever is greater. <br /> Height of building appurtenance means the vertical distance from the <br /> base elevation of a building to the highest point of the building <br /> appurtenance. <br /> Hillsides means geological features on the landscape having slopes of <br /> fifteen percent (15%) or greater. <br /> Historical Commission means the Historical Commission for the City of <br /> Everett. <br /> Home occupation means an occupation which is incidental and <br /> subordinate to a residential use, which is carried on by a member of <br /> the family residing in the dwelling. <br /> Hotel means a facility offering transient lodging accommodations on a <br /> daily rate to the general public which may also provide incidental <br /> services such as restaurants, meeting rooms or recreational <br /> facilities. <br />
