1. 6 <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT <br /> AND <br /> JacKaren Consulting, LLC <br /> The City and JacKaren Consulting, LLC agree to amend and modify their professional services <br /> agreement dated December 2,2010(the"Agreement") as follows: <br /> WHEREAS,work is not yet complete on the Water Pollution Control Facility for which <br /> JacKaren Consulting provided constructability review, construction project administration and <br /> related tasks; and <br /> WHEREAS, the total amount of compensation stated in the Agreement is likely insufficient for <br /> the remainder of the projects and an additional $25,500 of contract value is needed to complete <br /> the projects; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett desires continued assistance from JacKaren Consulting for such <br /> services on those projects; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City and JacKaren Consulting agree to amend their Agreement to increase the <br /> maximum compensation by an additional $25,500 from the current contract level of$157,250 to <br /> $182,750; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the City of Everett and JacKaren Consulting agree to amend and modify <br /> the Agreement as follows: <br /> 1. Paragraph 4(D) is modified to read as follows: <br /> Total compensation, including all services and expenses, shall not exceed a <br /> maximum of One Hundred Ninety Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars <br /> ($182,750). <br /> 2. The effective date of this Amendment is <br /> 3.
