6
Following the surge evaluation workshop a DRAFT Technical Memorandum will be prepared to
summarize the findings and make recommendations. The recommendations may include
operational considerations, capital projects, or additional studies, depending on the findings. The
DRAFT Technical Memorandum will be submitted to AWWD for review by the appropriate parties. A
final Technical Memorandum will be provided.
Deliverables for Task 610: Draft and final Preliminary Concepts Technical Memorandum, meeting
materials and notes, draft and final Findings and Recommendations Technical Memorandum.
Task 610.4 Contingency
A contingency of approximately 15% has been included for work not covered by this Scope of Work.
Contingency will not be utilized unless specifically directed by AWWD.
Responsibilities
The following items establish responsibilities as they relate to the Scope of Work described above:
• AWWD and the City shall provide existing site plans, as-built utility drawings and records,
water system models, and other relevant project information.
• AWWD and the City shall meet on-site to discuss operation of existing facilities.
Assumptions
in preparing the Scope of Services for Work Authorization No.4, it is assumed that:
• Meetings are limited to the number of hours identified in the Consultant Fee Estimate.
• Transient modeling will include up to 5 operational scenarios. Additional modeling will
require budget augmentation.
• Mitigation measures will be proposed with the intent of limiting the impacts between
Reservoir 3 and the pump stations. Mitigation measures may require additional study
(meaning additional scope and budget?) depending on the nature of the problems identified.
• The transient model will include information on the system starting at Reservoir 3 and
through the pump stations. Information on facilities downstream of the pump stations will be
incorporated as necessary to create an appropriate transient model.
• The bypassing of Reservoir 3 will be included as an operational scenario. The Clearview
Pump Station will be assumed to remain in operation for the scenarios under consideration.
• Generation of drawings, other than figures for the Technical Memorandum, is not required.
() wencill'Ik st.
