7 <br /> TASK 6 UTILITIES COORDINATION & DESIGN <br /> TranTech subconsultait,MSA,will perform fmal design and bidding services for a 12-inch <br /> diameter water main and multiple franchised utility improvements associated with the <br /> replacement of the Broadway Bridge crossing between Hewitt Avenue and California Street. <br /> The proposed improvements currently consist of replacing approximately 500 feet of 12-inch <br /> diameter cast iron water main with ductile iron piping and necessary appurtenances including, <br /> but not limited to, isolation valves,tie-in connections and services. In addition,MSA will <br /> perform Subsurface Utility Engineering(SUE) services by coordinating with electrical power, <br /> telecommunication, fiber optics and natural gas utilities located within the project corridor and <br /> potentially impacted by the bridge replacement work. This work will include compiling data, <br /> resolving conflicts and, as necessary,incorporating utility improvements in to the design. It is <br /> anticipated that there will be no improvements associated with the sanitary sewer and other <br /> subconsultants will take the lead in designing the stormwater drainage,illumination and <br /> irrigation facilities. <br /> This task include the following subtask activities: <br /> 1. Coordination and Project Management <br /> The work under this subtask includes the following subtasks: <br /> a. Project Coordination -This task is for general coordination of the Utility Design <br /> work. This includes coordination of the MSA team with TranTech's Project Manager <br /> including meetings, correspondence, communication and weekly status reports. <br /> b. Project Meetings - Coordinate and participate in an initial kick-off meeting with <br /> TranTech and City of Everett staff and attend project coordination meetings as <br /> necessary. It is anticipated that MSA's project manager and staff engineer will attend <br /> one weekly coordination meeting per month,up to fifteen(15)meetings,with <br /> TranTech. <br /> • <br /> c. Invoicing-Prepare monthly billings and progress reports describing services <br /> provided and completed in each billing period. Prepare, monitor and update MSA's <br /> project schedule. <br /> 2. Final PS&E Design Package <br /> • <br /> This task will develop plans and specifications for the 60% and 90%level of design and <br /> the fmal design suitable for bidding for the proposed water main and utility <br /> improvements. Plans and specifications will be provided in electronic format to <br /> TranTech to be included in the project submittals. Drawings will be provided per City <br /> Standards in AutoCAD format and specifications will be per WSDOT Standards in <br /> Microsoft Word format. Surveying and basemapping shall be performed by others in <br /> accordance with the agreement between TranTech and the City. MSA will acquire and <br /> incorporate basemapping into the contract drawings as necessary. The work under this <br /> task includes the following subtasks: <br /> 39 <br />
