7 <br /> a. Utility Coordination <br /> A. MSA will coordinate the design with utilities owned and operated by other <br /> agencies/entities, other than the City,that are within the project corridor of the <br /> bridge improvements. For the purpose of preparing this scope of work, it is <br /> anticipated that up to four(4) utilities are located in/near the project corridor; <br /> electrical power(Snohomish County Public Utility No. 1),natural gas (Puget <br /> Sound Energy), and fiber optics owned by Sprint and Frontier. <br /> B. MSA will schedule meetings with utilities to discuss the project and <br /> coordinate the proposed bridge improvements. A total of four(4)meetings are <br /> anticipated under this subtask. Meeting will be conducted and minutes will be <br /> prepared by MSA. The development of plans for the relocation of existing <br /> utilities is dependent on the timely delivery and coordination of accurate and <br /> complete plans and information from each utility. <br /> b. 60% PS&E Package-The 60%PS&E Package subtask will consist of the <br /> preparation and QA/QC review of 60% contract plans,technical specifications,and <br /> opinion of cost for the proposed water main and utility improvements. Plans will be <br /> submitted for review and comment to TranTech,the City and impacted utilities. This <br /> includes the following elements: <br /> A. Water Main Improvements -Preparation of plans will include proposed <br /> water main alignments,profiles and details based on the preliminary design <br /> completed under the previous subtask. It is anticipated that two (2)plan sheets <br /> and two (2) detail sheets will be required. <br /> B. Utility Improvements-Preparation of plans will include proposed utilities <br /> alignments and details for facilities based on designs provided by the utilities. It <br /> is anticipated that two (2)plan sheets,two (2) detail sheets,and one(1) <br /> installation schedule sheet will be required. <br /> C. Technical Specifications -Preparation of specifications will be limited to <br /> draft technical specifications based on the water main and utility improvements. <br /> These specifications will be included into the contract documents prepared by <br /> TranTech. <br /> D. Opinion of Cost-An opinion of cost will be prepared and will include a <br /> schedule of estimated quantities, unit prices, and total cost for the water main and <br /> utility improvements. The opinion of cost will be formatted to reflect the <br /> corresponding bid items in the bid schedule of the Bidding/Contract Documents. <br /> c. 90% PS&E Package-The 90% PS&E Package subtask will consist of the <br /> preparation and QA/QC review of 90% contract plans,technical specifications, and <br /> opinion of cost for the proposed facilities water main and utility improvements based <br /> on the 60% submittal and review comments.
