2011 Budget Adjustments 2 Tally Sheet Department Code Rev Exp FB GGA-5 Fire Dept Amendment-UASI Grant for Training 032A 32,500 GGA-5 General Fund Amendment-UASI Grant for Training 002A 32,500 The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is providing funds to the state and specified urban areas of the city of Seattle,city of Bellevue, King County,Snohomish County and Pierce County to enhance their capability to prevent terrorist attacks through the Urban Area Security Initiative Program(UASI). The City of Seattle Police Department has agreed to reimburse government agencies in Snohomish County for employees who attend Structural Collapse Technician Training in 2011 for wages(overtime and backfill) incurred on an actual cost basis. This amendment increases the Fire department's overtime budget by$32,500. Increase Grant Revenue 002 3339700183 32,500 Increase Fire Overtime 032 5200000120 32,500 Department Code Rev Exp FB GGA-6 Fire Dept Amendment-Heavy Rescue Apparatus Grar 032A 600,000 GGA-6 General Fund Amendment-Heavy Rescue Apparatus Grar 002A 600,000 Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management,acting as the pass-through agency for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's FFY10 Urban Area Security Initiative Program grant,has agreed to reimburse the City of Everett for a heavy rescue apparatus up to the amount of$600,000. This vehicle will provide interoperability with other heavy rescue apparatus throughout the Puget Sound region and as part of the Snohomish County Technical Rescue Team. This vehicle will strengthen and enhance Homeland Security-directed response capabilities in a large scale event. There are no matching requirements for this contract. This amendment increases the Fire department's equipment budget by $600,000. Council approved acceptance of this grant award at the August 3,2011 Council meeting.
