PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR CHILD INTERVIEW SPECIALIST <br /> SERVICES <br /> This Professional Services Agreement For Child Interview Specialist Services (this <br /> "Agreement") is made and entered into as of this day of , 2011, <br /> by and among Snohomish County Child Advocacy Center d/b/a Dawson Place, a duly registered <br /> Washington non-profit corporation ("DAWSON PLACE") and Snohomish County, a political <br /> subdivision of the State of Washington, the City of Arlington, a municipal corporation of the <br /> State of Washington, the City of Bothell, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, the <br /> City of Lake Stevens, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, the City of Lynnwood, <br /> a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, the City of Marysville, a municipal <br /> corporation of the State of Washington, the City of Granite Falls, a municipal corporation of the <br /> State of Washington, the City of Edmonds, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, <br /> the City of Mill Creek, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, the City of Everett, a <br /> municipal corporation of the State of Washington, the City of Mukilteo, a municipal corporation <br /> of the State of Washington, the City of Snohomish, a municipal corporation of the State of <br /> Washington, the City of Brier, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, and the <br /> Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians (all such county, municipal and tribal entities collectively, the <br /> "PARTICIPATING JURISDICTIONS"). <br /> WITNESSETH: • <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the PARTICIPATING JURISDICTIONS to <br /> utilize professional Child Interview Specialist (hereinafter referred to as "CIS") services to <br /> facilitate investigations of child abuse and other crimes wherein children are victims or <br /> witnesses; and <br /> WHEREAS, DAWSON PLACE has agreed to provide trained professional CIS Services <br /> to the PARTICIPATING JURISDICTIONS for investigations; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants set forth <br /> below, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are <br /> hereby acknowledged, the parties agree as follows: <br /> 1.0 TERM <br /> The term of this Agreement (the "Term") shall commence on January 1, 2012 (the <br /> "Commencement Date"), and shall expire on December 31, 2014 (the "Expiration <br /> Date"); PROVIDED, however, that Snohomish County's obligations are contingent upon <br /> local legislative appropriation of the necessary funds for this specific purpose in <br /> accordance with the Snohomish County Charter and applicable law. <br /> 1 <br /> 32 <br />
