August 12, 2015 <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS <br />Gail Chism, Everett, commented on the Lowell Days Promenade that was <br />held on August 8 and 9. <br />Jackie Minchew, Everett, commented on global warming and stated he <br />would like information should a climate action report be made available. <br />COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br />Fire Study Update <br />Presented by Dr. Steven Knight and Guillermo Fuentes of <br />Fitch & Associates <br />Fitch and Associates provided background information related to the <br />operation of the Everett Fire Department and presented three Alternative <br />Deployment Models. <br />Council Member Stonecipher asked what FTE change would occur with <br />Model 1 as presented. Dr. Knight stated he would get that information and <br />report back to Council. <br />President Bader called for a five-minute recess. The meeting resumed at <br />8:22 p.m. <br />Council Member Murphy requested the Council be provided a summary or <br />list of policy questions to assist in the decision-making process. He also <br />suggested that policy review and discussion be pushed back into the <br />committee structure. <br />Council Member Roberts asked that the summary of policy questions <br />identify those that are within the bargaining structure and those that are <br />not. <br />Mayor Stephanson commented on the importance of a future discussion <br />with City labor experts. <br />240 <br />
