EL/E?ETT ORDINANCE NO. 1814-91 AN ORDINANCE creating a special construction fund entitled "1991 Block Grant Neighborhood Improvement" Fund No. 364 authorizing the construction of improvements as voted on by Councils for Northeast Everett ($30, 000) on January 15, 1991, Port Gardner ($15, 000) on January 14, 1991, Riverside ($30, 000) on December 11, 1990, and Lowell ($15, 000) on January 21, 1991, and authorizing $90, 000 for these improvements. WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the need to improve the Northeast Everett, Port Gardner, Riverside and Lowell Neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, the City Council has allocated from the 1991 Block Grant fund $90, 000 to make the needed improvements and to be divided among the Northeast Everett, Port Gardner, Riverside, and Lowell Neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, the Northeast Everett, Port Gardner, Riverside and Lowell Neighborhood residents were asked to suggest improvements and then specify their priorities for the expenditure of Block Grant Funds; and WHEREAS, numerous neighborhood meetings have been held, and the following neighborhood-wide meetings, where residents voted, were held in the neighborhoods on the improvement projects to be recommended to City Council: Tuesday, January 15, 1991 in Northeast Everett Monday, January 14, 1991 in Port Gardner Tuesday, December 11, 1990 in Riverside Monday, January 21, 1991 in Lowell NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund No. 364 , entitled "1991 Block Grant Neighborhood Improvement Fund" to accomplish the actions authorized in subsequent sections of this Ordinance.
