lip • • EVERETT ORDINANCE NO. 1798-91 AN ORDINANCE creating a special fund entitled "SR-2 - Maple Street -Improvements," Fund 325, to accumulate all design and construction costs for the traffic improvement project, and repealing Ordinance No. 1473-88. WHEREAS, the City of Everett has entered into agreements with the Washington State Department of Transportation to provide federal and state funding for improvements on Maple Street, California Street and Walnut Street; and WHEREAS, on April 13, 1988, Council passed Ordinance No. 1473-88, establishing Fund 325 entitled "California Street and Walnut Street Traffic Study and Intersection Improvements" to provide funding of preliminary engineering costs for a traffic study, design costs and construction costs associated with the resultant project; and WHEREAS, based on the recommendations of the traffic study, increased funding, design costs, other improvements and citizen input there is a need to revise the existing ordinance; NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special design and construction fund is hereby established as Fund 325, entitled "SR-2 - Maple Street Improvements," to accumulate design and construction costs of the improvements. Section 2: Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and distribute payments from Fund 325 for design and construction of the improvements and associated right-of-way. Section 3: Authorization is hereby granted for the "Public Works Director," under the direction of the Mayor, to assume full and complete responsibility for conducting all tasks and doing all things to accomplish the actions authorized in this ordinance. Section 4: The sum of $1,239,650 is hereby appropriated to Fund 325, "SR-2 - Maple Street Improvements" as follows:
