REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br /> General Contractor/Construction Manager Services for <br /> _ Water Pollution Control Facility Expansion ansion-Phase C <br /> d. Update and distribution of revised drawings and <br /> specifications <br /> e. Plan and coordinate owner training <br /> f. Contractor submittal reviews <br /> g. Pricing of proposed contract changes <br /> h. Review of Operation and Maintenance manuals <br /> E. Selection and Award Process: The GC/CM selection and award process is <br /> described Section 5.0 of this RFP. <br /> F. Preconstruction Services Contract: The City intends to negotiate and execute <br /> a single Preconstruction Services Contract with the selected GC/CM for both <br /> Phase Cl and Phase C2. The City has identified a preliminary list of activities <br /> for the Preconstruction Services in Attachment A. <br /> Within the first seven days after notification of selection, the City intends to <br /> hold a meeting with the selected contractor to discuss the City's goals for <br /> preconstruction services, as well as the contractor's recommended approach. <br /> Based on the preliminary list of activities and the meeting, the selected <br /> contractor shall provide an acceptable draft Preconstruction Services Work <br /> Plan to the City within two weeks after notification of selection. <br /> If the selected contractor fails to provide an acceptable (as deemed by the <br /> City) draft Preconstruction Services Work Plan within two weeks after <br /> notification of selection or such longer time as the City's Project Manager may <br /> grant in writing, the City may select the next highest ranked firm for entering <br /> into negotiations for a Preconstruction Services Contract, in which case the <br /> firm that did not timely provide an acceptable draft Preconstruction Services <br /> Work Plan will not be further considered for either the Preconstruction <br /> Services Contract or the GC/CM Contract. If the City and selected contractor <br /> are unable to reach an agreement on an approved Preconstruction Services <br /> Work Plan, the City may select the next highest ranked firm for entering into <br /> negotiations for a Preconstruction Services Contract, in which case the firm <br /> that did not reach agreement with the City on an approved Preconstruction <br /> Services Work Plan will not be further considered for either the <br /> Preconstruction Services Contract or the GC/CM Contract. <br /> G. Negotiation of MACC: The City intends to negotiate separate Maximum <br /> Allowable Construction Costs (MACCs) for each of the two project phases, <br /> Phase Cl and Phase C2.
