k of [ <br /> REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br /> General Contractor/Construction Manager Services for <br /> atailM <br /> Water Pollution Control Facility Expansion -Phase C <br /> C2. The GC/CM shall provide necessary consulting expertise to the City to <br /> ensure that the program scope is maximized and the construction budget and <br /> the Project schedule are met. The GC/CM will also provide cost estimating <br /> for the project, cost tracking, and will work with the Design Team on <br /> reconciling cost estimates. Upon completion of Preconstruction Services for <br /> each phase, but no earlier than 90% completion of the construction <br /> documents for each phase, the GC/CM and City will enter into separate <br /> negotiations for the Phase Cl MACC and the Phase C2 MACC. The <br /> anticipated schedule for MACC negotiations are shown in Section 3 of this <br /> RFP. <br /> B. Construction Services: If a Phase Cl MACC is agreed upon and a GC/CM <br /> Construction Contract is entered into between the City and the GC/CM, the <br /> GC/CM shall provide full general contracting services for construction of <br /> Phase Cl of the Project in accordance with the requirements of the Contract <br /> Documents and RCW 39.10.340 through 39.10.410, except to the extent work <br /> is specifically indicated in the Contract Documents to be the responsibility of <br /> others. If for any reason the City and the selected GC/CM do not enter into a <br /> GC/CM Construction Contract, the GC/CM shall have no recourse <br /> whatsoever against the City for such failure to enter into a construction <br /> contract. <br /> If the Phase C2 MACC is agreed upon the City intends to amend the GC/CM <br /> Construction Contract to include construction of Phase C2. If for any reason <br /> the City and the selected GC/CM do not amend the GC/CM Construction <br /> Contract to include construction of Phase C2, the GC/CM shall have no <br /> recourse whatsoever against the City for such failure to enter into an <br /> amended construction contract. <br /> More detailed information about the scope of work for Construction Services <br /> will be provided in the RFFP. <br /> 5.0 SELECTION AND AWARD PROCESS <br /> The procurement of these GC/CM services will be in accordance with City of Everett <br /> ordinances and other applicable state and local laws, regulations, and procedures.
