The following was observed:
Upon arrival of the first visit, contractor was currently excavating for sewer line within the building limits. The
contractor installed 280' of sewer line today at a 1.9% slope grade. They bedded the pipe in sand then used the
recycled concrete material as fill above the bedding. Contractor placed approximately 2' of recycled concrete
material hoe packed the material. During first visit, compaction tests indicated over optimum moisture content. With
the dry sunny weather conditions, ESNW recommends the material be left exposed to help lower moisture content.
ESNW recommends the contractor recompact material prior to retesting material. Upon second visit, contractor
recompacted recycled material. Compaction tests indicated adequate compaction of at least 95% or greater at tested
locations.
ESNW will return as needed.
Wendy Jones
COPY TO: CONTINUED ON NEXT PAGE ❑
