There was no response. <br /> Chair Sosin asked if there was any objection from the audience to any of the Commissioners <br /> participation on the docket items. There was no response. <br /> 6:35:55 PM ( <br /> Bob Larsen, City staff, distributed a comment ter from Snohomish County regarding the Smith Island <br /> expansion. He also distributed a handout o e powerpoint presentation with a corrected slide. <br /> Mr. Larsen stated that the Firehouse Co .rehensive Plan amendment and rezone is located at 12011 <br /> 19th Ave SW. The request is to amen. e Comprehensive Plan designation from 1.6 (Multiple Family) <br /> to 4.1 (Neighborhood Business) and , zone from R-3 (Multiple Family)to B-1 (Neighborhood Business). <br /> The objective is to convert the allo -d use to office and retail. The previous use was a fire station for <br /> Fire District#1. He presented a : .phic of the site. She felt that the property was uniquely located to serve the <br /> community as a . ghborhood business. The B-1 zone is preferred because it does provide a range of <br /> uses which is a. ,ropriate for the scale and location of the property. The zoning would also allow a <br /> residential co, ponent if they chose to do a mixed use project.
