2
Exhibit A-1
Amendment No. 1
Detailed Design &Construction Support Services
City of Everett
SCOPE OF SERVICES
SEWER "M" PROJECT, UP 3470
Sewer System Replacement and
Capacity Improvements
Jacobs Engineering Group
July 2012
1. PROJECT UNDERSTANDING
The City of Everett contracted with Jacobs for planning, design, and construction assistance
services to provide for construction of buried pipelines and street improvements in a 30-block
area, or 112 acres, roughly between 10th and 19th Streets and between Grand and Rockefeller
Avenues. The neighborhood is single family residential and within the NW Everett
Neighborhood.
As a result of planning efforts, the project within the study area was phased in two parts. This
amendment consists of detailed design and construction support services for Alternative E-3
Phase 1, as defined in Fig 4-8 of the Technical Memorandum, Task 200—Sewer System
Hydraulic Modeling Analysis, prepared by Jacobs in May 2012. This figure is included as
Exhibit D-1 of this Amendment. The Project will generally consist of: •
• Modifications to its existing combined sewer(CS) system to include:
o Installation of up to approximately 6000 LF of storm water(SW) separation from
the combined sewer(CS)conveyance system connecting to the City's existing
CSO overflow pipeline in the vicinity of Grand Avenue and 15th Street.
o installation of new regulator structure that would provide a means for diverting
most storm water flows to treatment, with higher flows passing to the outfall.
• Replacement of approximately 8,300 LF of aging sewers and 190 side sewers; and,
• Replacement or restoration of streets (including asphalt pavement, curb & gutter, and
sidewalk) and alley restoration, as needed.
July 2012 r6.0 Page 1 of 19 Jacobs Engineering Group
11
