It is not clear whether the buried <br /> tiebacks have the plastic caps installed. The Port should verify this with the Contractor. If not, the <br /> Contractor will need to dig them up and install the caps per the contract documents. <br /> Additionally now that the tiebacks have been installed for most of the bulkhead,the caps should be <br /> installed on the sheet pile ends soon to prevent any corrosion. In fact there already appears to be some <br /> minor superficial rust forming on the exposed ends of the tie rods and nuts. This should be cleaned <br /> before the caps are installed and filled with grease. <br /> h111011® 6 <br />
