Figures 1 and 2 highlight the areas of the <br /> pile cap that will be poured. The inspection checked the cap and seat dimensions, size, number and <br /> position of reinforcement, clear cover, and conformance to the contract documents. <br /> The Contractor was mostly finished installing the rebar at the time of the inspection, as such this was <br /> considered a preliminary inspection. A final inspection will be conducted the morning of the concrete <br /> pour. Overall the rebar was generally installed correctly with the following exceptions. All of these items <br /> were pointed out to Mike P. of Bergerson. <br /> 1) There were many areas along the waterside face of the cap that had inadequate clear cover(see <br /> Figure 3). <br /> 2) The transition between the overhang and the viewing platform seat was not installed correctly, <br /> per the detail provided in RFI 19.
