Project File M&N#: 8057-03
15 April 2015 Site Visit Memorandum
Figures 3 through 5 show the pile cap rebar and electrical conduit in place mostly ready for concrete
placement. At the end of the site visit a few items had not been fully completed. The Port should verify
the following items have been completed before the scheduled concrete pour on Thursday morning:
Segment A Curb:
• The curb formwork had not yet been installed. Check that there is tin of clear cover to all bars.
• The rebar needs to be cleaned of concrete from last week's pour(see Figure 5)
Segment B Overhang:
• Chamfer strips at the top of pile cap (landslide top corner) need to be installed.
• 3/4" reveal (chamfer strip) on the front face of the overhang need to be installed.
• Drip groove at the soffit of the overhang needs to be installed.
• Some of the conduit at the plinths (the 4th and 5th plinths from the south end of the bulkhead)
were slightly out of position in the E-W direction. They were gin and 13in from the front face
(waterside) of the overhang respectively. Per the discussion in the field with the electrical
engineer they should be placed about 10.5in from the front face of the overhang.
„'1 3
