The sheet piles <br /> had not been cut to their final cutoff elevation.The black marks on the sheets appear to be where <br /> something was welded to the sheets then cut off with a torch (possibly from where the driving template <br /> was secured to previously driven sheets).The coating of the sheets has been damaged in these areas <br /> and will need to be repaired.There are also several locations where apparently the friction within the <br /> interlocks created enough heat during driving that the coating started to smoke.These are also areas <br /> where the coating will have to be repaired. <br /> "„ 2 <br />
