ARTICLE 5 - DUES CHECK OFF <br /> 5.1 General. <br /> 5.1.1 Upon receipt of a written and signed form from the employee authorizing payroll <br /> deduction, the City shall each month deduct Association dues and assessments <br /> from the employee's wages in the manner prescribed by law. The amount so <br /> deducted shall be mailed each month to the Association. <br /> 5.1.2 The Association agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the City harmless against <br /> any and all claims, suits, orders and judgments brought against the City as a result <br /> of any payroll deduction made on the Association's behalf. Payroll deduction <br /> errors shall be adjusted within thirty (30) days after they become known and the <br /> Association, any employee, or the City shall refund to the other any amounts paid, <br /> received, or incorrectly withheld in error. <br /> EVERETT POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION <br /> PAGE 5 <br />
