•
Version 091;.
2
ERIK UTTER
•
Production Control
The production system is centered around a new switcher. This switcher is HD ready and will accept HD/SD
or analog inputs from the existing cameras. It has built-in graphics and clip playout capability.
A scan converter will convert video from any computer or laptop to HD or SDI digital video for use in the
switcher.
The new console and rack system will house all of the components including a 40" multiviewer and graphics
prep station.
• HD or SD digital video will be sent to the playout system via existing fiber for live cablecast and recording for
later playback.
Additional high quality recordings will be made to a Ki Pro drive that records HD or SD Apple pro-res files that
may be edited directly on a Final Cut Pro edit system in the studio.
Existing audio and video sources will be integrated into the system.
In addition to the monitor to be installed in the foyer, a new HD 40" LCD program monitor will be mounted in
front of the lectern and visible to the council. •
•
Master Control
The master control playout system will capture video real-time as made available from the production system
or other in-house resources. Additionally, a 100% file based workflow is supported over a LAN or via
removable storage. Quality control and media prep monitoring is included. The playout control system will
allow scheduled recordings to play out to cable as required and available as video-on-demand over the
Internet. Live council meetings can be switched to air. A electronic reader-board can display a multitude of
digital signage style messages. Internet streaming a core function of the Master Control system and could
be enabled with little added cost and quite possibly eliminate the need for costly third-party streaming
service providers.
Utter Associates
1008 Western,Suite 201 t 206-829-8172
Seattle,WA 98104 3 - e michael©utterassociates.com
19
