Owner Bill Belshaw has requested his property,the
Howard S. Wright House at 2112 Rucker Avenue,be placed on the Everett Register. The house is significant
as an example of a high style,richly decorated American Foursquare home built in 1905 for Howard S.
Wright. Mr. Wright, a pioneer Everett builder,became a well known Snohomish County builder of residential
and commercial buildings and bridges and a prominent member of the community.
The Everett Historical Commission held a public hearing regarding the nomination on September 25,2012,
and recommends placement of the Howard S. Wright House on the Everett Register of Historic Places.
RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council):
Adopt a resolution placing the Howard S. Wright House at 2112 Rucker Avenue on the Everett Register of
Historic Places.
1
