14 • <br /> AFTER RECORDING RETURN TO: <br /> Snohomish County Council <br /> MIS 609 <br /> INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN <br /> SNOHONIISH COUNTY AND THE CITY OF EVERETT,WASHINGTON <br /> CONCERNING <br /> ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY WITH CONSERVATION FUTURES - <br /> RECITALS <br /> Whereas, Snohomish County manages a Conservation Futures funding program <br /> pursuant to RCW 84.34.200 et seq. and Chapter 4.14 Snohomish County Code; and <br /> Whereas, Snohomish County Cities and Towns are eligible to apply to <br /> Snohomish County for resources to fund the purchase of real property that meets the <br /> conservation criteria described in RCW 84.34.200 et seq.; and <br /> • Whereas, the City of Everett applied for resources from the Snohomish County <br /> Conservation Futures Property Tax Fund to purchase property in the City of Everett; and <br /> Whereas,the Snohomish County Conservation Futures Program Advisory Board, <br /> at their May 9, 2011 meeting, recommended, by motion, that the Snohomish County <br /> Council award the City of Everett $400,000 from the Snohomish County Conservation <br /> Futures Property Tax Fund for the purchase of property located in the City of Everett for <br /> the purpose of conserving the property, providing open space and offering the public <br /> access to the property;and <br /> Whereas, on June 5, 2011, the Snohomish County Council, by Motion No. 11- <br /> • 217, approved the purchase of the Harborview Park Addition by the City of Everett and <br /> awarded $400,000 from the Snohomish County Conservation Futures Property Tax <br /> Fund for that purpose; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, this Interlocal Cooperation Agreement (the • <br /> "AGREEMENT") is made by and between SNOHOMISH COUNTY, a political <br /> subdivision of the State of Washington (hereinafter referred to as the "COUNTY") and <br /> Interlocal Cooperation Agreement w/City of Everett <br /> —Conservation Futures 1 3 6 Page 1 <br />
